I tried to post my first entry almost two months ago, but lost my Internet connection and have not had time to get around to trying again until today. My fourth niece, Cait, was born in June, which gave me the inspiration to set up a blog about my knitting. I had just started the Baby's First Sock pattern for her, free from Knitting Daily.
I finished them yesterday on the bus on the way home from work. They were fun and easy to knit. The basketweave stitch is also very forgiving when it comes to ladders, which I'm still having a bit of a problem with. This is only my third pair of socks, so I'm hoping I will conquer them over time.
I usually have only two projects on the needles at once -- a small project that I can work on during my commute and something larger to work on evenings and weekends.
So, now, I need to come up with a new bus project, which will probably be socks for my niece Gillian.
